At Oasis Neck and Back, our policy is to always recommend the simplest and safest treatments reasonably able to treat and relieve the underlying problem. Many spinal conditions can be successfully treated without surgery.
Some non-surgical treatments we commonly recommend include: appropriate medications (anti-inflammatory, and pain medicines), exercise programs (home, gym) physical therapy (land or aqua therapy), appropriate work environment modifications, and sometimes brief use of a cervical collar or lumbar brace.
Many patients experience dramatic relief following simple injections such as trigger point injections or epidural steroid injections.
Some patients also benefit from chiropractic care, acupuncture, and massage therapies. We have established relationships with a number of specialists in these techniques and can provide you with referrals to the appropriate practitioners in your area.
